Job Title: Child Care Director
Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Child Care Director to oversee the operations and management of our childcare facility. The Child Care Director will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality childcare services, maintaining a safe and nurturing environment, and supporting the development and well-being of children in our care. This role requires strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of early childhood education, and a passion for providing quality care to young children.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum and activities that promote the physical, cognitive, social, and emotional development of children.
 - Create and maintain a safe, clean, and engaging environment that meets the needs of children and ensures compliance with licensing regulations and safety standards.
 - Recruit, hire, train, and supervise childcare staff, providing ongoing support, feedback, and professional development opportunities.
 - Conduct regular staff meetings and training sessions to ensure effective communication, collaboration, and adherence to program policies and procedures.
 - Collaborate with parents/guardians to build positive relationships and address their concerns and needs regarding their children's care and development.
 - Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of children's attendance, progress, and developmental milestones.
 - Implement effective behavior management techniques and strategies to promote positive discipline and a supportive learning environment.
 - Develop and manage the childcare budget, including monitoring expenses, ensuring financial sustainability, and seeking opportunities for cost savings.
 - Stay current with best practices in early childhood education, child development, and childcare regulations, and ensure compliance with relevant laws and standards.
 - Plan and organize special events, field trips, and parent involvement activities to enhance the overall childcare experience.
 - Establish and maintain relationships with community organizations, agencies, and resources that can contribute to the enrichment of the childcare program.
 - Serve as a point of contact for childcare inquiries, conduct facility tours, and provide information to prospective families.
 - Conduct regular evaluations and assessments of the childcare program to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
 
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field. Master's degree is preferred.
 - Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role in a licensed childcare setting.
 - Knowledge of childcare regulations, licensing requirements, and early childhood education best practices.
 - Strong understanding of child development theories, age-appropriate curriculum, and instructional strategies.
 - Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team of childcare professionals.
 - Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport with children, families, and staff.
 - Ability to create a welcoming and inclusive environment that respects the diversity and individual needs of children and families.
 - Proficient in administrative tasks, including budget management, record-keeping, and program evaluation.
 - Familiarity with childcare software systems or willingness to learn.
 - Current CPR and First Aid certification.
 - Ability to pass a comprehensive background check.
 - Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
 - Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
 - Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends as needed.
